Ignite provides coaching and consulting services to professionals who wish to receive in-depth feedback and guidance to increase their success and advance strategically in their career. Our clients range from new managers to the executive level; and our coaching can span over a few weeks, or a few months, depending on the need. In our one-on-one coaching sessions, one of our consultants provides the coachee with insight into a variety of areas. We use a variety of tools, including 360º feedback, visioning, emotional intelligence inventories, and in-depth development tools designed specifically for the individual, which we incorporate into a Professional Development Plan. Every coaching client we have is unique. The beauty of these coaching relationships is that we tailor our coaching to the goals and career path of each individual client.
Some areas a coaching client may choose to explore are: personal strengths and how to capitalize on them; limitations and how to improve upon them; his or her own behavioral style, and how to work most effectively with coworkers of different styles; techniques to become an effective communicator; how to negotiate with others; how to handle challenging situations in his or her workplace; and specific leadership challenges. Advanced Coaching Strategies
As a managerial responsibility, coaching is the most effective method for ensuring the improved performance and productivity of each player on the team. During this high impact session, we educate participants on the key elements of coaching, as well as discuss the benefits of coaching, both for the coach and coachee. Most importantly, attendees are exposed to the concept of "transformational coaching," which seeks to create mutually supportive partnerships between people that transcend the traditional manager/assistant relationship.
Advanced Interviewing Strategies
Your odds have improved in hiring the right person for the job from using the techniques learned in our introductory Interview And Selection seminar. Nonetheless, disappointing new hires sneak through from time to time. This advanced session teaches participants how to read the non-verbal cues during an interview, listen for what is not being said, and probe for more specifics. Participants will gain insight into some innovative ideas designed to help them really get to know the candidate and make the most of their job references.

Nothing in an organization affects so many people as the identification of a business's core purpose and values. Increase Your Effectiveness Through Delegation
Managers are often disappointed with the results of a project they have delegated. It's the old "no one can do it as well as I can" and "it takes longer to teach someone how to do it than to just do it myself" syndrome. In this session, participants are shown how to break out of this thinking. They are first educated on how to assess their employees' developmental level. Participants then learn an effective system of coaching, supporting and follow-up that insures a positive end result for both the delegator and delegatee.
Managing In An Environment Of Change
Change is a part of life, but not always a comfortable one. This session helps participants identify the stages of change, sources of resistance and creative strategies for dealing with change. The goal of this session is to educate participants on how to navigate themselves and others more successfully through the change process. At the end of this session, participants feel ready to embrace change, rather than simply react to it.
Mission Statement Development
Behind every successful organization, you find a well-thought-out and deeply entrenched mission statement. This is a "roll up your sleeves" working session devoted to clarifying your organizational purpose. Your executive team develops a written mission statement and an action plan to integrate that mission into the core culture of your business.
Negotiating For Results
Negotiation is both an art and a science. It is an excellent way to get what you want while providing for the other party to succeed as well. This session focuses on these win-win negotiation strategies. Participants learn the dynamics of disputes and resolutions, practice various negotiation techniques, and expand their influencing skills.
Situational Leadership
As leaders, we know that different people need different styles of leadershipbut there are more than just personality styles to consider. When To Take Charge And Lead By Directing
There are workplace situations where the appropriate management style is directing. To give effective direction is more than simply telling people what to do. It involves working with the employee to set goals and objectives, to plan and organize work in advance, and to set appropriate priorities. At this session, participants learn how to develop the skill of directing effectively.
